New Program – Term 4 2017

Our new program is hot off the press!

The new program (Neighbourhood Natters) includes a range of new community events, groups and workshops.

Some Term 4 highlights include Diversity Day, our Annual Sydney Shoping Trip Fundraiser, Free Hearing tests, Lifeline Counselling and more!

Diversity Day – What makes you special? A social day in our community garden – Habitat in Harmony – where we will celebrate the diverse community of Belmont and surrounds. A special invitation goes out to youth, young parents, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) groups, people with disabilities and those who identify as LGBTIQA+, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Come and enjoy our garden and meet someone new.
Our annual Sydney Shopping Trip Fundraiser – grab some great christmas bargains and help raise vital funds for the Neighbourhood Centre.
Free Hearing Tests – the Hearing Australia Bus will be coming back to visit us for free hearing checks. The test will identify the frequencies that you have trouble hearing and provide tips on how to manage any changes. Hearing Aid battery and function testing will be available, as well as information and referrals for young children. Only 16 places are available, so book in quick!
Lifeline is back! – Lifeline has returned to the centre to provide affordable counselling services. This is great news for East Lake Macquarie residents with limited transport options into the Islington Lifeline Office. To book, call Lifeline on 02 4940 2000.
