Belmont Neighbourhood Centre is a welcoming and inclusive community hub dedicated to supporting local residents through programs, services, and events that build connection, wellbeing, and resilience. We offer a range of services including community development initiatives, information, advice and referrals, volunteering opportunities, and more.
We are currently seeking a proactive and community-minded Program Administrator to join our team and help deliver high-quality services to our community.
Position Summary
As the Program Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our programs and activities. You will be responsible for coordinating program logistics, maintaining records, liaising with community members and stakeholders, and ensuring that day-to-day operations run efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and support the delivery of community programs, workshops, and events
• Maintain program schedules, calendars, and communications
• Provide administrative support including data entry, reporting, and documentation
• Assist with tracking budgets, invoices, and funding requirements
• Liaise with clients, volunteers, facilitators, and service providers
• Promote programs through newsletters, social media, and flyers
• Contribute to program evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Criteria
• Previous experience in an administrative, community services, or program coordination role
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with diverse community members in a respectful and inclusive manner
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Desirable
• Experience working in a neighbourhood centre, community centre, or not-for-profit setting
• Knowledge of local community issues and networks

Conditions of Employment
• Terms and conditions of employment will be based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award.
• This position is subject to ongoing funding
• Current NSW Drivers Licence and car insurance
• First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Police Check
• Role subject to a three month trial period.
